The digital cookbook—free for download on James Beard’s site!—features twenty recipes from the foundation’s Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership program, “created to support women at any stage of their career, from established culinary figures to budding leaders of the future, and provide them with the tools and opportunity to succeed.” The cookbook also offers a directory of over 70 women-led, -owned, and -operated establishments across the country including bars, catering companies, and restaurants.
Hinze’s recipe is for “The Perfect Vanilla Cake with Swiss Meringue Cream”. o.0
“Perfect for any occasion, this cake is moist, flavorful, has an excellent crumb, and goes with everything. The buttercream, meanwhile, has a nice creamy texture and isn’t overly sweet. It’s an excellent all-purpose frosting and filling for a wide variety of baked goods, and also works well for piping decorations.”
